Lotus Land Cannabis Club Rebranding

By BRANDING, PRINT DESIGN

Lotus Land Cannabis Club in Vancouver needed a re-brand for launching their new line of vape pens, and oils, as well as their up-and-coming flagship store.

Project Goals

The owners needed a fresh, new, sophisticated look for their cannabis club and their new line of products. The new design will be applied to their new packaging, labels, products and brick-and-mortar shops.

Process

Building on their new positioning, the idea was a simple one; create a whole new experience and  environment, reminiscent of vintage lounge clubs of the 50’s, seasoned with retro and art deco elements. The logotype is bold and central, with a lotus flower fashioned as a crown as a subtle logo mark.

Challenges

The design phase came before the proposed post-regulation for packaging, and new layout rules and colours had to be applied.

Results

This project is a work-in-progress.

Google Executive Summit

By PRINT DESIGN

Google’s EdTech Team holds various conference-style events with partner businesses focused on utilizing Google. Last year’s Google Executive Summit with booking.com was held last year in Google’s Partner PLEX and my role was to provide event graphics from ID cards, invites, door graphics, and display walls.

Process

Since many different departments within booking.com were joining, the Summit team thought of using a puzzle theme with each department track representing a piece of the puzzle.

Challenges

With print collateral, project management and timelines are more sensitive. It is important to align with the vendors to get the schedule, production deadlines, installation and logistics and factor it in the design timeline.

Results

The design process from ideation to distribution went smoothly and the Google Executive Summit was a success.

Instant Imprints

By PRINT DESIGN, WORDPRESS WEBSITE

Instant Imprints New Westminster is our friendly-neighbourhood printing shop here in New Westminster. The owners approached us about designing an SEO ready WordPress website, and to help them with their digital marketing and social media presence.

Project Goals

To create a distinctively-designed and SEO-ready website for the New Westminster branch. This new website will show the work of the specific branch and function independently from the main franchise, with separate paid advertisement and social media accounts.

Process

I built the website from a parent theme and configured the SEO via WordPress plugins. All tag managers and necessary plugins for Google PageInsights have been installed and tested.

Challenges

The client decided to maintain the website in-house, a new training step had to be included in the original contract. We installed a drag-and-drop interface on WordPress and was able to reduce the learning curve for the client and ensure a smooth turn-over.

Results

I was able to design a website that generated more traffic for the specific New Westminster branch and was able to educate the client on how to update their content and how to get their digital marketing going.
